Folliculotropic mycosis fungoides

Folliculotropic mycosis fungoides (FMF) is a variant of (MF) noted in the World Health Organization — European Research and Treatment Cancer (WHO/EORTC) update 2018. FMF characterized as subtype with worse prognosis than classic MF. The situation changed recently when authorities proposed dividing into two prognostically different subtypes: indolent aggressive. Indolent allows 92% patients to survive five years, 72% 10 years. But only 55% 28% aggressive can respectively internal organ involvement on day diagnosis shortens lives drastically (23% 2% years). This all makes even more difficult. Combined topical systemic treatment be useful, corticosteroids, phototherapy, radiotherapy, bexarotene, interferon, methotrexate brentuximab vedotin. If disease does not respond these therapies, allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) should considered. Chemotherapy (gemcitabine, liposomal doxorubicin, polychemotherapy) often merely temporary response, that why it employed non-responsive cases and/or bridge allo-HSCT.
